"New UK PES Champion is Crowned

The PES Rankings Main Event 2010 took place at Wembley this weekend, bringing together 64 of the UK's top Pro Evolution Soccer players to battle it out for the UK Championship and a share of the £7000 prize.

George 'The Greek' Tsirita was crowned 2010 Champion after an impressive performance which saw him win every game in the tournament. He also finished top of this season's rankings, which makes him the UK's best Pro Evolution Soccer player.

George will now go on to represent the UK at the PES World Championships in Mallorca in September, along with runner-up Farhad 'Footimaster' Shah and other top players from Europe, Japan, Brazil, Mexico and the US.

This event was arranged by the official Pro Evolution Soccer league, PES Rankings, which is developed and managed by Jellymedia on behalf of Konami UK.

The PES Rankings season runs throughout the year, allowing players to compete in both online and offline tournaments, including regular events at HMV Gamerbase stores in London, Manchester, Reading and Glasgow.

Those attending the Main Event this season were also given an exclusive preview of PES 2011."
