Jelly client Trinity Hospice host an annual Santa Dash along Blackpool promenade. This year Jelly’s own running team decided to don their beards and run in support of Trinity Palliative Care Services and Brian House Children’s Hospice.
Trinity Hospice and Palliative Care Services and Brian House Children’s Hospice provides specialist palliative care to residents of Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre as well as much needed support for their families. The charity receive limited government funding and rely on community support to ensure their services are kept available free of charge.
Jelly set up a JustGiving page and managed to raise over 320% of their target donation by the time the race was over. The race was 5K long and Team Jelly ran dressed head to toe in Santa Claus outfits complete with hats and beards.
Local news reported that over 1,000 people ran Trinity’s Santa Dash and Jelly is pleased to report that Community Manager, Toby Lee, finished within the top ten.
Jelly’s running team is earning some well-deserved rest over the holidays and is looking forward to raising even more money for next year’s Santa Dash.
