We proposed using US combat sports as an excellent way to reach the appropriate demographic, and selected the MMA fighter Aaron Pico for an activation. Aaron was part of the Bellator promotion company with his next fight scheduled for January 2019. He was handpicked due to his dynamic, high impact blitz fighting style.
Aaron Pico promoted the brand via his social media on the build up to the fight, as well as featuring the brand logo on his ring apparel and in-fight material.
The bout was short, lasting under a minute – but the logo was seen by over 250 million on American sports news sites, and the social media content was seen by over 9 million people. Aaron went on to to visit the brand’s headquarters in Belarus for the purpose of filming additional media content.
