Following our development of PES League, Pro Evolution Soccer’s online competitive gaming system, Konami asked us to organise an offline tournament where the best PES players in the world would be able to come together and compete for the title of World Champion.
The PES League World Finals is a Jelly managed event taking place in multiple locations across the globe. In 2017, our event management team brought sixteen of the world’s top PES players to London’s Arsenal stadium to compete for the PES League trophy and a prize of $200,000. The build up to the World Finals saw several regional events take place in other iconic football locations including Liverpool’s Anfield and Barcelona’s Camp Nou stadiums.
The World Finals was broadcast to an audience of over 1.5 million over Jelly operated channels on platforms such as Twitch TV, YouTube and Facebook Live. Our very own community manager Graham Day hosted the World Finals broadcast alongside Jelly sourced talent. This included PES League personality Adam Butcher and professional esports commentators Alan Brice and Chris Tunn.
We provided dedicated social media coverage throughout the World Finals, using out design team to create key assets such as promotional artwork, video and GIF content to supplement the event’s marketing campaign. From the start of the season up until the very end of the world finals our social media efforts reached an audience of over 25 million.
