Yu-Gi-Oh! Road to Worlds! Studio Production.
Building a blueprint for better broadcasts
To build anticipation for the Yu-Gi-Oh! World Finals, Jelly produced a live build-up broadcast from our in-house studio – combining live gameplay, European creators, expert commentary and community-focused content in a single broadcast.
The Yu-Gi-Oh! team wanted to increase its Twitch output, but didn’t yet have a blueprint for what a high-quality, repeatable live format could look like. We helped them build one.
Bringing the broadcast together
Our studio provided the physical production hub, with a fully customised set, lighting and broadcast environment. Alongside the live studio segments, we brought creators from across Europe into the show remotely – giving us a dynamic mix of gameplay, interviews and head-to-head conversations with the hosts.
Our design team also created a bespoke broadcast package, including animated transitions, countdowns, hold screens, lower thirds, segment frames and looping TV wall assets – giving the stream a level of visual polish beyond any previous Yu-Gi-Oh! broadcasts.
Built for more than one broadcast
The livestream was only part of the content strategy.
We captured and edited key moments from the show into short-form highlights, extending the value of the production across Yu-Gi-Oh!’s social channels and giving the wider audience reasons to engage beyond the live broadcast.
Across Twitch and YouTube, the show generated around 15,000 views. On the day, 13 supporting social posts across X, Instagram and Facebook generated 400,000 impressions and around 8,000 interactions.
The Result
The production gave the EU Yu-Gi-Oh! team more than a successful Road to Worlds broadcast. It demonstrated a new approach to live content – combining studio production, remote creators, broadcast design and social amplification into a format that could be adapted for future broadcasts and territories.
Across five different platforms, the campaign reached an audience of more than 600,000 followers.
